CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's volleyball will open its 2025 campaign this weekend with a trio of contests at the UNF Invitational.
The Crimson is set to open its season on Friday, September 5 at 4:00 p.m. ET against Howard University (1-2) inside UNF Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. The following day, Harvard will face the host, the University of North Florida, at 6:00 p.m. ET. The Crimson will then wrap up its busy opening weekend against Presbyterian College (1-2) on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. ET.

- The Crimson finished 2024 with a 10-13 overall record including a 5-9 showing in Ivy League play.
- Harvard has had recent success in its opening weekend, starting 3-0 in the last two seasons.
- The Crimson will start its campaign on the road for the first time since 2022, having hosted the Harvard Invitational to begin the year in both 2023 and 2024.
- The 2025 Crimson returns three of its four top attackers from last season. Brynne Faltinsky (304), Ryleigh Patterson (186), and Peyton Hollis (122) each surpassed triple-digit kills in 2024.
- Faltinsky is poised for a dominant senior season after a junior campaign comprised of over 300 kills and a kill-per-set average of 3.49, ranking as the fifth-best in the Ivy League.
- Harvard also welcomes back its top three blockers in Patterson (97.0), Bennett Trubey (84.0), and Faltinsky (46.0).
- By averaging 1.08 blocks per set, Patterson and Trubey were tied for fourth in the conference at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
- This season will mark Jennifer Weiss' 33rd year at the helm of Harvard women's volleyball. As the longest-tenured coach, Weiss is the winningest coach in program history with 377 victories.
- Faltinsky and Yvette Easton were chosen by their teammates to serve as captains of the 2025 Crimson.

The Crimson will host Washington State (Sept. 12) and Seton Hall (Sept. 14) at its annual Harvard Invitational next weekend. The Crimson will host the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday in its home opener. Harvard will then take on the Pirates in its second and final nonconference home contest on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. ET.
