CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing returns to the water this weekend for the first time in 2025-26. The Crimson is set to compete at five regattas across three states in New England, with three of those competitions slated for the Charles River.

It will also compete at the Toni Deutsch Trophy (Sept. 6-7), which will originate out of nearby MIT Sailing Pavilion. Harvard will also appear at the Harry Anderson Trophy (New Haven, Conn.) and Harman Cup (Castine, Maine), which will both take place Sept. 6-7.

What to Know

  • Harvard returns to action for the first time since the ICSA Fleet Race Championships in late May. The Crimson women placed third at the event, while the men fell short of defending its national title, coming in fifth place.
  • Prior to the fleet race regatta, the Harvard women posted its best ICSA team-race finish in program history as it came in third place. The Crimson's coed team, meanwhile, won its second open team race national championship in three seasons.
  • Harvard welcomes back three All-Americans from last year's squad, with Justin Callahan headlining the group. Callahan was an Open Skipper All-American and enters his senior campaign as the reigning College Sailor of the Year. Team captain  and senior Mitchell Callahan (Open Skipper All-American) is also back as is junior Zoey Ziskind (Women's Skipper All-American).
  • Harvard for the second year in a row will compete at the Harry Anderson Trophy, Toni Deutsch Trophy and Harvard Invitational. The Crimson finished 11th of 18 teams at the Harry Anderson, fifth of 18 at the Toni Deutsch and was sixth at its own regatta.
  • The Crimson will sail at the Charles Invitational for the first time since 2021, when it posted an eighth-place performance against a 14-team field. Harvard, meanwhile, will compete for the Harman Cup for the first time.
