QUEENS, N.Y. – Harvard fencing hit the road for the St. John's Super Cup, as the Crimson battled against some of the top squads from across the country in the Empire State. The women's team ended the day with a 2-3 record, while the men's squad posted a 1-4 record at the St. John's Super Cup.

The Crimson's women's team rebounded with wins against Ohio State and St. John's after opening the day with narrow and hard fought defeats against Princeton, Columbia and Notre Dame. Two Crimson women's fencers tallied double-digit victories at the St. John's Super Cup. Junior and team captain Isabella Chin led the way with the best record among all Crimson women's fencers, going 12-3 in women's epee action. A two-time All-American in women's foil competition, junior Jessica Zi Jia Guo went 10-5 today.

The men's team tallied a win against Ohio State and dropped decisions against Princeton, Columbia, Notre Dame and St. John's. A member of the United States' 2024 Paris Olympics roster, sophomore Colin Heathcock anchored Harvard's scoring throughout the day, posting a team-best 13-2 record in men's saber action.

The women's team responded well after its first defeats of the 2025-26 campaign, dominating Ohio State fora 21-6 victory. The women's foil squad led the way, posting a sensational 8-1 mark against the Buckeyes. First-years Emily Jing and Lucia Zhang were both a perfect 3-0 against Ohio State, as Chin and sophomore Madison Duckett also went 3-0 against the Buckeyes.

The day for the women's team ended with another overwhelming victory, as the Crimson took down tournament host St. John's via a 19-8 scoreline. Guo anchored women's foil's 7-2 performance against the Red Storm with an undefeated record, as both the women's saber and women's epee squads went 6-3 against St. John's. Senior Zoe Kim was 3-0 against the tournament hosts in women's saber competition, while Chin ended her day with another undefeated round.

The men's team rallied for a 15-12 win against Ohio State. The men's saber squad propelled the Crimson to a win over the Buckeyes, as the trio posted a 7-2 record, with Heathcock and first-year Cody Ji combining for two wins.
