CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball (10-8, 3-2 Ivy) will return to its home court for the first Ivy League back-to-back of the season. The Crimson will open the weekend against Yale on Friday, January 30 before closing the first month of conference play against Brown on Saturday, January 31. Each game will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. ET inside Lavietes Pavilion and on ESPN+.
The Last Time Out
- In its last time out, the Crimson stormed past the Big Red, 84-38, in Ithaca, N.Y.
- In what was the Crimson's second-highest scoring output of the season, it received contributions from 10 different players.
- Mary Hollensteiner led all scorers with a career-high 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting and 6-of-7 from distance. The junior also pulled down four rebounds against the Big Red.
- Olivia Jones also had a career day with 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting. The first-year grabbed four boards, had two steals, and dished out 10 assists for her first career double-double.
- Karlee White tallied 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting. The junior has shot an average of 60% from the field and reached double figures in each of the last four games.
- Saniyah Glenn-Bello added nine points and led the Crimson in rebounds with five and steals with three.
- The Crimson shot just under 50% from the field and went 12-of-26 from distance against the Big Red.
- The Crimson's 12 made threes mark its second most this season and the fifth time the Crimson has made 10 or more in a game.
- Harvard tallied 25 assists on 34 made field goals. It is the most assists in a single game for the Crimson since 2023.
- Harvard matched its season-low with 11 turnovers and conversely forced a season-high 31 turnovers. The Crimson converted for 39 points off the Big Red's miscues.
- Harvard's defense had a season-high 15 steals as six different players recorded at least two takeaways.
- Harvard won the rebounding battle 35-27, including grabbing 16 offensive boards.
Stepping into a Leading Role
- Abigail Wright and Karlee White have smoothly transitioned into leading roles this season. The juniors are the top scorers for the Crimson and are each averaging career highs with 14.4 and 12.8 points per game, respectively. The totals rank inside the top 10 in the Ivy League.
- Wright is also the team's leading rebounder, averaging 6.8 per game to rank sixth in the Ivy League. More specifically, the junior forward attacks the offensive glass and is currently the 12th-best offensive rebounder in the nation with her 4.0 per game average.
- Not is White averaging a career-high but she is also doing so at an incredibly efficient rate, shooting 53.0% from the field. The percentage ranks as the fifth best in the conference.
- Before being sidelined with an injury, the junior guard began the year by scoring in double figures in five of the first six games, matching her entire total of double figure from her first two seasons. Since returning, White has added five more double figure games to her career total.
- The junior pairing was elected as team captains for the Harvard women's basketball team prior to the start of the 2025-26 season.
Stuffing the Stat Sheet
- Saniyah Glenn-Bello has consistently provided a presence all over the court during her senior season.
- Glenn-Bello is averaging a career-high in nearly every statistical category by averaging 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.
- After not scoring in double figures in the first four games, Glenn-Bello has now done so in 12 of the last 14 games.
First Impressions
- Olivia Jones has made a name for herself in the league already, having been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week a league-best five times.
- The first-year received the honor on November 10, December 8, January 6, January 20 and most recently on January 26.
- Jones was named Rookie of the Week after a career day against Big Red where she tallied her first career double-double with 17 points (6-of-8 FG) and 10 assists. The first-year also grabbed four boards and had two steals.
The Season at a Glance
- The Crimson's season is comprised of 13 non-conference games and its annual 14-game Ivy League slate.
- The Crimson played five power conference opponents in the first month of action including No. 13 Michigan (Big Ten), Cal (ACC), Boston College (ACC), Alabama (SEC), and Arkansas (SEC).
- Harvard competed at two prominent tournaments in November, the Raising the B.A.R. Invitational hosted by the University of California and the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship in Nassau, The Bahamas.
- Harvard plays Columbia, Yale, and Brown in Lavietes Pavilion during the first half of the Ivy season followed by Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn, and Princeton during the month of February.
Harvard-Yale History
- The Crimson is 60-37 all-time versus the Bulldogs and has won the last five matchups.
- With the five straight wins, the Crimson has swept Yale in the last two seasons after having no done so since 2016.
- The last time the two teams met, Harvard came out on top 91-35.
Harvard-Brown History
- The Crimson has a strong 64-34 lead in the all-time series versus the Bears and has won an incredible 19 straight over Brown.
- Harvard has not dropped a contest against the Bears since 2015.
