CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's lacrosse team once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom, recording an impressive 3.708 team GPA during the Fall 2025 semester. The mark ranked as the second-highest GPA among all men's teams at Harvard, further cementing the program's reputation as a national academic leader.
Over the past four seasons, the Crimson have averaged a remarkable 3.70 team GPA, setting a standard for sustained academic achievement. Harvard men's lacrosse is also a four-time recipient of the USILA Team GPA Award, having earned the honor most recently following the Spring 2025 semester, when the team posted a program-record 3.81 GPA. No other program in the nation has claimed the award, making Harvard the only team to win the honor in each of the past four seasons.
The Crimson first captured the USILA Team GPA Award in 2022 with a team GPA of 3.54. The following season, Harvard raised the bar with a then-program-best 3.71 GPA in 2023, before securing its third consecutive award in 2024 with a 3.64 GPA.
In addition to its team-wide success, Harvard has continued to earn individual academic recognition. Over the past four seasons, the program has produced 12 USILA Scholar All-Americans. Most recently,
Sam King '25 and
Martin Nelson '25 earned the distinction, extending Harvard's streak to eight consecutive seasons with at least one Scholar All-American honoree.
The Crimson's academic success in 2025 extended across multiple honors. Every graduating senior earned recognition on the NEILA All-Academic Team, with Harvard leading the region with 17 honorees. The program also added an Academic All-Ivy distinction, awarded to
Owen Gaffney '25, capping off another exceptional year in the classroom.
