CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball (8-6, 1-0 Ivy) will welcome the Columbia Lions (9-5, 0-1 Ivy) to Cambridge this weekend for a rematch of the 2025 Ivy League Tournament Championship game. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 10 at Lavietes Pavilion and on ESPN+.
The Last Time Out
- In its last time out, the Crimson won its fourth straight Ivy League opener, defeating Dartmouth, 72-47.
- The Crimson put up 72 points on a Dartmouth defense that entered the game as the best scoring defense in the conference. Conversely, Harvard held the Big Green to its third lowest scoring output of the year.
- 11 different Harvard players recorded points on the stat sheet including four players scoring nine or more points.
- Abigail Wright paced the Crimson's offense with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting and Olivia Jones matched her career-high with 11 points.
A Rivalry Renewed
- The Crimson and the Lions have faced off an unprecedented 10 times since Carrie Moore arrived in Cambridge.
- The meeting has provided instant classics beginning with Harvard's upset win over Columbia in the Ivy League Tournament semifinals in Moore's first season and culminating in Harvard's win in last season's Ivy League Tournament championship game.
- Harvard has won the last two meetings between the two squads, having also defeated the Lions in New York City during the regular season last year.
- In the regular season contest, Harvard held Columbia to its lowest scoring output (54) and its lowest shooting percentage (34.6%) of the season to win, 60-54.
- Harvard holds a dominant 67-15 lead over Columbia in the all-time series.
Spreading the Love
- The Crimson has had five games with four players in double-figure scoring through 14 games in 2025-26. Harvard did not have four players in double figures in a game once last season.
- Overall, Abigail Wright (14.8), Karlee White (11.8), Saniyah Glenn-Bello (10.9), and Katie Krupa (8.4) are all averaging over eight points a game.
Stepping Into a Leading Role
- Abigail Wright and Karlee White have smoothly transitioned into leading roles this season. The juniors are the top scorers for the Crimson this season and are each averaging career-highs at 14.8 and 11.8 points per game.
- Wright is also the team's leading rebounder, averaging 7.0 per game to rank fifth in the Ivy League. More specifically, the junior forward attacks the offensive glass and is currently the seventh-best offensive rebounder in the nation with her 4.4 per game average.
- Not only is White averaging a career-high but she is also doing so at an incredibly efficient rate, shooting 49.3% from the field.
- Before being sidelined with an injury, the junior guard began the year by scoring in double figures in five of the first six games, matching her entire total of double figure games from her first two seasons.
- The junior pair was elected as team captains for the Harvard women's basketball team prior to the start of the 2025-26 season.
Stuffing the Stat Sheet
- Saniyah Glenn-Bello has consistently provided a presence all over the court during her senior season.
- Glenn-Bello is averaging a career-high in nearly every statistical category by averaging 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game.
- After not scoring in double figures in the first four games, Glenn-Bello has now done so in nine of the last 10 games. Most recently, the senior recorded 20 points for the first time in her career against Delaware.
First Impressions
- Olivia Jones has made a name for herself in the league already, having been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week a league-best three times.
- The first-year received the honor on November 10, December 8, and most recently on January 6.
- Jones was named Rookie of the Week after recording 11 points, four assists, five rebounds, a block, and a steal against Dartmouth.
The Season at a Glance
- The Crimson's season is comprised of 13 non-conference games and its annual 14-game Ivy League slate.
- The Crimson played five power conference opponents in the first month of action including No. 13 Michigan (Big Ten), Cal (ACC), Boston College (ACC), Alabama (SEC), and Arkansas (SEC).
- Harvard competed at two prominent tournaments in November, the Raising the B.A.R. Invitational hosted by the University of California and the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship in Nassau, The Bahamas.
- Harvard plays Columbia, Yale, and Brown in Lavietes Pavilion during the first half of the Ivy season followed by Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn, and Princeton during the month of February.
