Women's Squash

No. 1 Women's Squash Set for Showdowns With No. 2 Penn, and No. 4 Princeton

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard Women's squash will look to capture its 10th consecutive Ivy League Championship this weekend when it faces two highly ranked conference opponents. The Crimson (7-0, 4-0 Ivy) will go on the road, stopping first in Philadelphia, to square off with the No. 2 ranked Penn Quakers on Saturday (Feb. 14), before heading to New Jersey to face off with the No. 4 Princeton Tigers. Both matches are set to begin at 12:00 PM and will stream live on the Ivy League Streaming Platform.
 

The Matchups

The Crimson looks to keep its winning ways rolling as it faces its toughest opponents yet, No. 2 Penn, and No. 4 Princeton. With wins this weekend, Harvard will clinch its 10th consecutive Ivy League Championship. 
 
To get there, it will need to defeat the No. 2 Quakers (11-1, 3-1 Ivy) on the road in a battle of the top two teams in the nation. Another tough test will present itself on Sunday, when the Crimson takes on the No. 4 Tigers (9-1, 4-0 Ivy) on their home courts. 

Can't Stop, Won't Stop

With two decisive victories last weekend against No. 5 Trinity and No. 8 Yale, the Crimson extends its win streak to seven. Against the Bantams, the Crimson achieved a 7-2 victory, Against the Bulldogs, the Crimson pulled off a decisive 9-0 win to help the team improve to 7-0 on the season. 
 
Five student-athletes on the Crimson ladder own perfect 7-0 records this season including Caroline Fouts, Molly Stoltz, Ona Blasco Puig, Lucie Stefanoni, and Saran Ngheim.
 

Series History

In the series against the Quakers, Harvard leads the series convincingly with a 51-7 record in this historic matchup, with the first match dating back to 1974. The Crimson haven't lost against Penn (12-0) in the last decade.
 
In the series with the Tigers, Harvard has the edge with a 44-22 record, with the first meeting coming in 1978. The Crimson are 16-1 in its last 17 meetings with the Tigers.
 

Up Next

Following this weekend's matchups, Harvard will be gearing up for the Ivy League Tournament, which will be held the following weekend (Feb. 21-22). The location for the tournament is yet to be determined, as the Women's Regular Season Champion will play host for both the men's and women's tournament.
