Teddy Malone Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following a stellar effort in the Crimson's season opening win over RV Providence, Teddy Malone earned the Ivy League's Offensive Player of the Week award, the conference announced this afternoon. Malone led No. 12 Harvard with six points and four goals in a dominant 10-4 win over the RV Friars to help the team start the season 1-0. This is the first Player of the Week award for Malone and the third weekly honor of his career.

A senior attack, Malone carried over his strong play from 2025 into the 2026 season opener against Providence. He tied his career high in points during the contest, posting six with a team high four goals and two assists. The Delaware native scored one goal in the first quarter, one in the second and two in the third to help Harvard pull away from the Friars and earn a 10-4 victory.

The Haverford School product also grabbed two ground balls in the effort to contribute to a dominant defensive showing by the Crimson. Harvard heled Providence scoreless for over 30 minutes in the contest and allowed just one goal in the final three quarters.

A two-time Ivy League Rookie of the Week in 2023, Malone picks up his first Player of the Week honor with the effort on Saturday. Now, Malone and the Crimson will prepare for a challenging week of non-conference games that pits the group against RV Colgate (Feb. 17) and No. 1 Syracuse (Feb. 21). Both contests will be held at Jordan Field and will stream live on ESPN+. The matchup with the Raiders on Tuesday will also air live regionally on NESN.

Tickets for both contests are still available and can be purchased at GoCrimson.com/tickets.
