WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 Harvard men's lacrosse season, two Crimson student-athletes landed on the 2026 Tewaraaton Award Watch List. Senior midfielder,
Logan Ip, and junior attack,
Jack Speidell, were named to the initial 50-player watch list that comprises some of the best players in collegiate lacrosse. This is the first time on the esteemed list for both players, who will look to build on the career seasons they had in 2025.
The Harvard captains are the 16
th and 17
th watch list selections in Harvard history and the 10
th and 11
th student-athletes to be named to the list in program history. The duo adds this honor to their Preseason All-America nods from both USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse.
Sam King '25 was the lone Harvard player on the watch list a season ago, which he then turned into a nomination and eventual finalist selection, the first time in program history that a Harvard athlete was selected inside the top five.
A senior midfielder out of California,
Logan Ip landed on the second team after being named to the 2025 USA Lacrosse Third Team All-America a season ago. The Corona Del Mar and West Coast Starz product set career highs last year, posting 38 points, 23 goals and 15 assists while also serving as a junior captain. A deadly shooter from the midfield, Ip ranked fifth in the NCAA with a .489 shooting percentage while putting 81-percent of his shots on cage. Returning to captain the Crimson in 2026, Ip earned Honorable Mention All-America honors from the USILA and Inside Lacrosse while also being named an All-Ivy First Team selection in the 2025 season.
A breakout sophomore season for
Jack Speidell helped him earn a post on the third team this preseason. A Long Island native, Speidell scored 3.07 goals per game in 2025 – the eighth most in the NCAA – and poured in 46 total goals to lead the Crimson attack. A 2025 USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, Speidell landed on the All-Ivy Second Team a year ago after totaling 59 points while adding seven caused turnovers.
