CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's lacrosse team will open the season ranked in the top 15 of all three national polls after the USILA Coaches, USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse announced their first polls of the 2026 season. The Crimson's highest mark comes in the USA Lacrosse Magazine rankings, where it took the No. 12 spot. The USILA and the KANE Footwear Inside Lacrosse media poll had the Crimson slotted at the No. 13 spot in the top 20.
Led by the Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Lacrosse,
Gerry Byrne, the Crimson rose to as high as No. 10 in the nation a year ago before finishing the year ranked No. 12 in the national polls. Harvard had a historic season in 2025, posting 10 wins and reaching the Ivy League and NCAA Tournaments.
The Crimson will begin its highly anticipated 2026 campaign next Saturday (Feb. 14) when it hosts the Providence College Friars at Jordan Field. It will be the first of three consecutive games on its home turf in the opening week of the season. The group will also take on Colgate (Feb. 17) and No. 2 Syracuse (Feb. 21) to begin its season.
