Box Score SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Richard Gallant scored the lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Union on Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Ben Charette pushed away two early 2-on-1s from the Garnet Chargers to protect the Crimson from trailing early.
Union continued to control the pace of the game throughout the first period and eventually netted the first goal after a puck came out into the slot before Charette was set up. Union took the 1-0 lead into the break.
The Garnet Chargers picked up where they left off in the second period, adding three more goals off defensive lapses from the Crimson. Leading 3-0 late in the second period, Richard Gallant got the Crimson on the board on a two-on-one for the rookie's eighth of the season.
Harvard had its net empty for nearly four minutes as it tried to get back into the game late, but the game would end with a 4-1 win for Union.
