Ainsley Tuffy Named Semifinalist for Women’s Hockey Goalie of the Year Award

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's ice hockey netminder Ainsley Tuffy has been selected to the shortlist of semifinalists for the 2026 Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year Award. The Women's Hockey Commissioners Association has chosen 12 outstanding goalies, spanning across four conferences. Tuffy was nominated alongside five other ECAC goaltenders, giving the conference the most representatives on the list.

This is Tuffy's first appointment to the semifinalist list after being named to the watch list in each of the past two seasons. The Duxbury, Mass. native has strung together a stellar 2025-26 season for the Crimson, taking massive strides from her 2024-25 first-year campaign.

Impressively, she leads the nation in save percentage with .956 (473 for 495), while additionally ranking within the top 10 with a 1.673 GAA and 13th in the NCAA with a win percentage of .654 (8-4-1). Tuffy also received her first ECAC weekly honor following her 55-save win over No.5 Minnesota Duluth in the Friendship Series Semifinal (Jan.2). Finally, Tuffy became just the second athlete ever to win both the Beanpot MVP and the Bertagna award following her 86-save, 2-goal allowed performance that helped lead her Crimson to capturing the 47th Dunkin Women's Beanpot.

Tuffy and the Crimson look to close out the season strong in the final two weeks of the regular season. Harvard is set to battle Quinnipiac (Feb. 6) and Princeton (Feb. 7) before hitting the road for the final week of the regular season next weekend.
