WHAT TO KNOW:
- Harvard women's fencing is looking to capture back-to-back outright Ivy League titles for the second time in program history, as the Crimson enter the weekend as the defending Ivy League champions. The Crimson last repeated at the Ivy League Championships in the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
- The women's team owns five Ivy League titles, four of them outright. The Crimson won its first Ivy League championship in women's competition in 2005.
- On the men's side, Harvard is searching for it first outright Ivy League championship since 2023, as the Crimson last lifted the trophy in 2024.
- The Crimson own 13 Ivy League crowns in program history, with five of them coming with outright status. Head coach Daria Schneider led Harvard to two of its five outright championships (2023 and 2020).
- After dual meets against New York University in Cambridge, the women's team enters the Ivy League Championships as the No. 3 seed with a 13-4 record, while the men's team is the No. 2 seed this year with a 12-5 record following a 16-11 win against the Violets at the Malkin Athletic Center.
- The women's team returns a plethora of talent from a squad that lifted the Ivy League trophy last season.
- A two-time All-America First Team honoree, junior Jessica Zi Jia Guo enters the weekend as the defending Ivy League Women's Foil champion. The 2024 NCAA Women's Foil National Champion, Guo owns a team-best 40-6 record this season.
- In women's saber action, junior Kaitlyn Pak returns after earning All-Ivy League Second Team honors last season with a 9-5 record at the 2025 Ivy League Championships.
- One of Harvard's team captains this season, junior Isabella Chin earned All-Ivy League Second Team status with a 10-5 mark in women's saber competition at last year's championships.
- A pair of All-Ivy League honorees return for the men's team as well. Junior Daniel Zhang was an All-Ivy League First Team selection after going 8-4, while junior Henry Lawson garnered All-Ivy League Second Team recognition after posting a 9-3 record.
