CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Matthew Morden was named to the All-ECAC third team, the league announced today.
In conference play, Morden tallied three goals and 10 assists in 22 conference games. Third on the team in points, Morden added three multi-point Ivy League games this season, including a three-point performance against Princeton on Feb. 27.
The only Crimson representative on the All-League team this season, Morden had a career year on the Crimson blueline. A reliable defenseman on both ends of the ice, Morden added four goals and 14 assists throughout the regular season. Tripling his point total from his sophomore year, Morden recorded points in consecutive games six different times this season.
One of four ECAC defensemen with four multi-point games since Jan. 1, Morden led the Crimson in overall points heading into the playoffs since the start of the new year.
