Men’s Basketball’s Hinton, Piggé, Batties II Earn All-Ivy Honors, Crimson Gains Co-Coaching Staff of the Year Accolades

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Basketball sophomore guard Robert Hinton has earned First Team All-Ivy honors unanimously, senior guard Chandler Piggé has captured Second Team All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy accolades, junior forward Thomas Batties II has gained Second Team All-Ivy laurels, and the Crimson's coaching staff has garnered Ivy League Co-Coaching Staff of the Year laurels, the Ivy League conference office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Hinton collected First Team All-Ivy honors for the first time after garnering Ivy League Rookie of the Year in 2024-25. This season, he has tallied 17.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 82.9 percent from the free throw line. In conference play, he averaged 18.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while shooting 52.6 percent from the floor. He ranks first in the Ivy League in field goals (184), second in points per game (17.1), second in total points (480), fourth in minutes per game (33.3), and fifth in free throw percentage (82.9). In Ivy only play, he stands first in field goals (101), second in points (257), third in points per game (18.4), and fifth in minutes per game (35.2). For the season, Hinton has scored in double figures 24 times, notched nine 20-point games, and eclipsed 30 points twice.
 
Piggé took home both Second Team All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy after garnering Honorable Mention All-Ivy a year ago. This season, Piggé has posted 13.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 46.5 percent from the field. In Ivy only play, he registered 12.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Piggé ranks third in the conference in steals per game (1.8), fourth in minutes per game (33.3), and sixth in assists per game (3.2). In Ivy only play, he stands second in steals per game (1.9), seventh in rebounds per game (6.5), and seventh in minutes per game (34.1). For the year, Piggé has scored in double figures 19 times, including four games with 20 or more points.
 
Batties II has compiled 12.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game on the year, while shooting 47.9 percent from the field, 45.9 percent from 3-point distance, and 87.2 percent from the free throw line. In Ivy only play, he notched 13.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game, while shooting 41.9 percent from downtown. He ranks first in the Ivy League in blocks per game (1.5) and second in 3-point percentage (45.9). In conference play, he stood first in blocks per game (2.0), third in 3-point percentage (41.9), and third in minutes per game (35.8). In 2025-26, Batties II has scored in double figures 20 times and netted 20 or more points three times.
 
The Crimson's coaching staff earned Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the first time in program history. This season, the group led the Crimson to a 17-11 overall record and 10-4 mark in Ivy League play to finish second in the conference standings, marking the program's highest finish since the 2019-20 season. As a team, Harvard leads the Ivy League in scoring defense (66.9) and free throw percentage (79.8). In the NCAA rankings, the Crimson stands second in free throw percentage (79.8) and fourth in fewest fouls per game (13.6). The Ivy League Coach of the Year award was first introduced in 2014-15 and became the Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year award in 2024-25.
 
Next, No. 2 seed Harvard plays No. 3 seed Penn in the semifinals of the Ivy League Tournament on Saturday, Mar. 14 at 2:00 p.m. (ESPNews) at Cornell's Newman Arena in Ithaca, New York.
