CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Men's hockey travels to Ithaca to take on the nationally ranked Big Red in a best-of-three series in the ECAC Quarterfinals this weekend, beginning Friday night.
The sixth-seeded Crimson will face the third-seeded Big Red in the quarterfinals, with the winner advancing to the semifinals in Lake Placid.
PUCK DROP
- The historic rivals will begin the three-game series Friday night at 7:00 p.m., followed by Game 2 on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
- Game 3 will be Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., if necessary.
- All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
- Harvard came from behind to defeat the St. Lawrence Saints in overtime in the opening round of the ECAC Playoffs.
- Never leading at any point, Harvard tied the game three separate times before Mick Thompson's overtime-winning goal.

- The only Crimson representative on the All-League team this season, Morden had a career year on the blueline. A reliable defenseman at both ends of the ice, he added four goals and 14 assists during the regular season.
- Tripling his point total from his sophomore year, Morden recorded points in consecutive games six different times this season.
ALL-IVY HONORS
- Both Matthew Morden and Mick Thompson earned All-Ivy League honors, the league announced today. Morden was named to the First Team, while Thompson earned Second Team recognition.
- Philip Tresca was also named the team's Academic All-Ivy recipient.
- Against Ivy League opponents, both Morden and Thompson tallied seven points in 10 games this season. Morden recorded one goal and six assists, while Thompson posted three goals and four assists.

- Heikki Ruohonen returned after competing in the IIHF World Junior Championships with the Finnish National Team.

- Finland finished fourth after falling to Canada in the bronze medal game.
- An alternate captain in his second U20 tournament, Ruohonen recorded three goals and six assists in seven games in Minneapolis.

- It marked Harvard's first shorthanded goals of the season.

- The Crimson also accomplished the feat twice during the 2016 season, including the opener against ASU.
CARDIAC CRIMSON
- Harvard scored three unanswered goals in under eight minutes to force overtime against No. 1 Michigan.
- The comeback marked the first time since the 2022-23 season that the Crimson erased a three-goal third-period deficit to tie a game.
