Women’s Basketball Receives Bid to Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament; Set to Host Navy

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball (18-11, 10-4 Ivy) will continue its season this Thursday against Navy after receiving a bid to the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament. The Crimson and the Midshipmen will tip off at 7:00 p.m. ET at Lavietes Pavilion and on ESPN+ in the opening round on March 19.

This will be Harvard's 18th postseason appearance in program history and its first time participating in the WBIT.

Thursday's matchup will be the third all-time meeting between the two teams. Each team has a win in the series with Harvard winning the first, 71-55, on its home court on January 2, 2010. The Midshipmen won the following match just ten months later, 65-60.
