Men's Lightweight Rowing Hosts Dartmouth Saturday Morning

Varsity four opens the racing on the Charles at 8:15 am on ESPN+.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Harvard men's heavyweight rowing team is at home on the Charles River Saturday morning when it races against Dartmouth. The first race of the day will be the varsity four at 8:15 a.m. followed by the second varsity eight at 8:30 a.m. and the varsity eight at 8:45 a.m. All races will be streamed live on WatchESPN and the ESPN app.

Weekend Notes
• The defending IRA National Champions opened the spring 2026 season a week ago in Ithaca, N.Y. competing against Cornell and Penn. The varsity eight and second varsity eight swept the field, while the third varsity eight took second.
• With the win over Cornell in the varsity race, Harvard retained the Franklin Cup; winning by more than four and a half seconds. The 2V narrowly defeated Penn, a 0.2-second difference, to claim victory in the second race of the day.
• The first IRCA/IRA Coaches poll was released on April 8 with the Harvard lights ranked No. 1. Dartmouth, which was idle last weekend and most recently competed at the National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational in March, enters this weekend ranked No. 7.
