CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Volleyball has been named the 2026 AVCA Division I Men's Team Academic Champion. The honor marks the Crimson's second in as many seasons and is the only champion the award has ever known after it was first handed out following the 2024-25 academic year.
 
Harvard owned the best GPA in NCAA Division I Men's Volleyball in 2025-26, and was joined on the men's side by Division II Maryville University (Mo.), Division III Vassar College and NAIA Cumberland University.
 
The announcement came just minutes after the AVCA announced Harvard had earned its Team Academic Award for an NCAA-best 15^th straight season and landed on the Team Academic Honor Roll. The Academic Honor Roll is comprised of teams that finish with a GPA that ranks among the top 20 percent in the sport.
 
In addition to all three AVCA awards, the Ivy League announced earlier today that rising senior Owen Woolbert was named to its Academic All-Conference At-Large Team. The Ivy At-Large Team is comprised of athletes who play sports that the league does not sponsor.
