CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With a new season on the horizon for Harvard softball, the Crimson welcome Peyton Schnackenberg as a new assistant coach. An experienced collegiate standout in both the Atlantic Coast Conference and the BIG EAST, Schnackenberg will work closely with the Crimson pitching staff.

Across five seasons at Syracuse, Boston College and Villanova, Schnackenberg emerged as key figure inside the circle. From 2019-2022, Schnackenberg made an impact as a member of the Boston College pitching staff, tallying over 100 career strikeouts while only allowing an opposing batting average of .290. The 2022 season saw Schnackenberg earn ACC Pitcher of the Week honors after allowing just one-hit with five strikeouts across a season-high eight strikeouts at No. 2 Florida State.

Following her time with the Eagles, Schnackenberg headed to Main Line, transferring to Villanova where she led Villanova to a tremendous 2023 season. Schnackenberg pitched 83.2 inning during the 2023 season, logging 55 strikeouts and an opposing batting average of 0.287. Along with success on the field, Schnackenberg earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar Athlete and BIG EAST All-Academic Team honors during the 2023 campaign.

Schnackenberg started her coaching career as the head coach of Fury Platinum's 16U coach, helping high school student-athletes develop key softball skills to succeed at the high levels of competition. Schnackenberg also held positions with Johnson and Johnson Ethicon and DePuy Synthes as well.

In 2022, Schnackenberg graduated with a bachelor of science degree in marketing and management from Boston College and graduated with a master's of business administration in international business from Villanova in 2023.
