hits Friday night to defeat the Harvard baseball team by a score of
15-3. In the first of a three-game set. Harvard (3-8) and Charlotte
(9-5) will resume the series on Saturday.

pitchers 35.2 innings at the start of the season to issue 11 walks
while starting with wins against Notre Dame and Stetson.

batters in four innings to go with seven hits as he was touched for
10 earned runs. Charlotte scored in all but two innings with five
extra base hits including two homers.
Corey Roberts (2-1) was impressive on the other side for
Charlotte as Roberts recorded 10 strikeouts against four hits in
six innings of work to get the win. The lone runs came courtesy of
Marcus Way, who launched a two-run homer in the second inning to
briefly tie the game. It was the second homer in as many games for
Way, who also finished with two hits. The homer dented the
scoreboard, 15 feet above the right-center field fence.
Charlotte was impressive with its opportunities, going 6-fo-14
with runners in scoring position and 4-for-4 with runners on third
base and less than two outs.
