TAIPEI, TAIWAN -- Former Harvard standout guard
and current member of the Golden State Warriors Jeremy Lin '10
scored 17 points and added three rebounds, three assists and four
steals in a charity basketball game at Taipei Arena before 6,662
fans Wednesday.
Lin, who was personally invited by Yao Ming of the Houston
Rockets, played for Team Heart in the game which benefited the
“Yao Ming Foundation,” which helps re-build schools in
the earthquake devastated provinces in China. Lin was on a
roster that included several NBA players including Chase Budinger,
Brandon Jennings, Amir Johnson, Aaron Brooks, Luke Babbitt, DaJuan
Summers and Hasheem Thabeet.
Lin, who is a Taiwanese-American, helped Team Love to a 137-103
victory against Team Heart,
which was comprised of players from the Shanghai Sharks and an
All-Star collection of players from the local Super Basketball
League.
