CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Following a weekend in which he recorded back-to-back
double-doubles in two wins that helped Harvard secure a share of
its first ever Ivy League title in men's basketball, Brandyn
Curry has been selected as COOP Athlete of the Week for March 7,
2011.
During the Crimson's 79-64 victory over Penn Friday, Curry
contributed 13 points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field, while
going a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. But it was the 14
assists, a new career-high for Curry that stole the show.
Curry followed Friday's effort with another double-double
Saturday in Harvard's 79-67 win over Princeton to ensure a
share of the program's first Ancient Eight title. Curry
dished out 10 more assists, while adding 10 points on 4-of-6
shooting. Curry finished the weekend with a 4-to-1
assist-to-turnover ratio.
