Alex Fallstrom led all Harvard players in scoring in 2012-13 (Kevin Burns).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Alex Fallstrom of the Harvard men's hockey team has signed an entry-level contract with the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins, team general manager and former Crimson player Peter Chiarelli '87 announced Saturday. Fallstrom is the second member of the Harvard class of 2013 to sign with an NHL franchise, as classmate Danny Biega signed a contract with the Carolina Hurricanes earlier in the week.

Fallstrom finished his senior season on the upswing, ending the year holding the team lead in points with 21 on nine goals and 12 assists. Fallstrom was the only member of the Crimson to eclipse the 20-point barrier this season, and did so thanks to a strong finish to the season where he put together a career-long eight-game point streak and netted a point in 10 of his final 11 games with Harvard. He also led the team in power play goals (three) and was one of four Harvard players with a short-handed goal to his credit.

In 113 career games with the Crimson, Fallstrom compiled an even 70 points on 33 goals and 37 helpers. His 70 career points stood as the second-most of anyone in the class of 2013, behind only Biega's 85. Fallstrom was selected in the fourth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild and had his rights traded to the Bruins later that year.
