CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 19 Harvard men's water polo closes the regular season on the road this weekend against three teams from New York state. The trip opens on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. against No. 17 St. Francis. Sunday will see the Crimson faceoff against Fordham at 11 a.m. and Iona at 4 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Crimson is coming off a successful homestand against two CWPA Northern Division opponents this past Saturday. Harvard took down cross town rivals MIT, 12-7, in the first match of the day and then returned to the pool for a 19-8 win over Connecticut College. The Crimson now owns a 17-6 overall record and a 4-3 mark in the division.
Net Snappers
The Harvard offense has been fantastic this season. The Crimson has scored at least 10 goals in 19 games, compiling a record of 16-3 in those games. Harvard has also scored 10 plus goals in the last 10, matches going 8-2 during the streak.
Eight Crimson players have scored more than 10 goals this season. Senior Ben Zepfel leads the team with 67 goals through 23 games and has scored at least one goal in every contest this season.
Good in Goal
Junior goalie Colin Woolway has been a standout for the Crimson all season. Woolway has started all but one game this season, making 146 saves. He has held opponents under 10 goals on 12 occasions, with his best performance coming on October 3, when he allowed only three goals to Pamona-Pitzer. In last weekend's important CWPA Northern Division homestand, Woolway made 25 total saves and only allowed 15 goals, holding both opponents to single-digit goal totals. For his exploits this season, Woolway has been named the CWPA Defensive Player of the Week twice, both coming in the last two weeks.
About No. 17 St. Francis
The Terriers are 9-9 this season but hold a 7-1 record in the division. St. Francis opened the season with five losses but was able to right the ship. The Terriers are currently on a four-game win streak heading into the game against Harvrd. The St. Francis defense has been at the forefront of the win streak, holding opponents to under 10 goals on three occasions. Junior Bora Dimitriov leads the way for the Terriers on offense with 33 goals this season. The Crimson fell to St. Francis, 12-8, on September 27, in the only meeting between the two this season.
About Fordham
Fordham has had a turbulent season thus far, entering the weekend 11-13 and 2-6 in the division. In the first half of the year the Rams were 8-4, but in its last 12 games Fordham is 3-9, including a six-game losing streak between October 10 and October 25. The Crimson and Rams only meeting this year came on September 28 at Blodgett Pool, with Harvard coming away with a tight, 10-8 victory.

About Iona
The Gales hold a 4-14 record this season and are 3-5 in the division. In the middle of the year, Iona went on an eight-game losing streak, setting them back in the CWPA Northern Division standings. The Gales have been able to pick up two wins in their last four matches, with victories over Fordham and Washington & Jefferson.
