CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard track and field senior Maksim Korolev and junior Erika Veidis each qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, held March 14-15 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Korolev, continuing his outstanding senior season, qualified in both the 3K (7:51.52 at the Valentine Invitational) and the 5K (13:42.56 at the Terrier Invitational). The Harrisonville, Mo., product broke the Ivy League and Harvard records in each event, posting his fastest times at BU. Korolev will be seeded seventh in the 5000m and eighth in the 3000m.

Veidis qualified for the second-straight year with a seed time of 2:05.00. The junior put up her fastest time of the season (2:05.55) at the Boston University Terrier Invitational Jan. 24. The Sparta, N.J. native will be seeded ninth overall.

The Crimson could potentially send more athletes to the NCAA Championships, as the men and women will compete at the ECAC/IC4A Championships this weekend at Boston University.
