Providence, R.I. - The No. 18 Harvard men's water polo team completed day two of the Bruno Fall Classic with two victories. In the first match of the day the Crimson pushed its win streak against Connecticut College to 21 games, and in the second match of the day, Harvard battled No. 14 Navy in a match that was decided in the fourth quarter.
Junior Ben Zepfel was prolific on offense for the Crimson, netting seven goals in the first match of the day. Connecticut College was able to keep it close the entire way, but Harvard led after every quarter, eventually winning 17-11. Blake Lee also has a good outing, netting five goals for the Crimson.
Zepfel continued his scoring ways in the second contest of the day against Navy, finding the back of the net five more times. The match was tightly contested with the second and third quarters ending tied. In the fourth quarter the Harvard defense let in only one goal, allowing Zepfel to score three goals and secure the 13-9 win. Sophomore Viktor Wrobel also had a strong day, scoring five goals of his own.
The Crimson is off next week but returns home for four matches September 27 and 28. Harvard will face off against St. Francis, Iona, Fordham and Brown, all CWPA Northern Division opponents.
