Inside the Glass
• Harvard enters the weekend tied for fourth in the ECAC standings, but controls its own destiny in chasing a first round bye in the conference playoffs. Harvard and Colgate enter the weekend with 23 points, with Dartmouth and Cornell trailing with 22 and 21, respectively. Harvard maintains the tiebreaker over the Raiders and Big Green, so any scenario in which those three teams finish with matching point totals, the Crimson would earn the fourth spot in the final conference rankings, ensuring a first round bye for Harvard. The Big Red owns the tiebreaker against the Crimson with a win and a tie this season.
• Harvard's power play has found its stride down the stretch, potting a goal in each of the last three games. In its last three games, Harvard is 3-for-13 when playing with the extra skater and on the season, Harvard is 20-for-96 (20.8 percent), good for 12th in the nation.
• Friday aligns to be a matchup of high-powered offense against a shutdown defense. In its first 20 ECAC games this year, Harvard has the second-most goals among all league teams at 64 (3.20 per game). Conversely, Quinnipiac has allowed the fewest goals against at 32 (1.60 per game).
• Harvard and Princeton's seasons have trended in opposite directions. The Crimson has ranked in the top half of the ECAC standings for the entire year, lighting up its conference opponents for 64 goals, while Princeton ranks last in the standings and has just 24 goals in 20 league games.
