Men's Basketball Releases 2015-16 Schedule

Harvard will be in search of a sixth-straight Ivy League championship in 2015-16 (Elan Kawesch).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Tommy Amaker, The Thomas G. Stemberg '71 Family Endowed Coach for Harvard Men's Basketball, has released the team's 2015-16 schedule which features 13 regular season games to be played at Lavietes Pavilion, an exhibition game, and the program's first-ever trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic.

Harvard will be in search of a sixth-straight Ivy League title and a fifth-straight trip to the NCAA tournament when it takes to the court this season. Led by three-time All-Ivy selection Siyani Chambers, the Crimson returns 11 letterwinners from last year's squad which posted a 22-8 record and went 11-3 in conference play.

The 105th season of Harvard basketball will unofficially begin October 16 as the team hosts its fifth annual Crimson Madness event, with an exhibition versus McGill University to be held November 7. Admission to both Crimson Madness and the exhibition game will free of charge to all fans.

The season officially tips off November 13 with a men's and women's doubleheader. The women's squad will first host Maine at 5:30 p.m., with the men's game versus MIT to follow at 7:45 p.m. The Crimson will have a short turnaround as it quickly packs up and heads down I-95 to face Providence the following day.

Harvard returns to Cambridge for a contest against UMass November 17, and will then make the short trip across town to visit Boston College November 22. A home date versus Bryant (Nov. 25) awaits the Crimson the following week, with short trips to Holy Cross (Nov. 29) and Northeastern (Dec. 2) to follow.

Harvard and Kansas will meet for the first time ever on December 5 at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas, before the fall semester wraps up December 8 at Lavietes Pavilion against Boston University.

The Crimson returns to action following a two-week break for exams with a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, to play in the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic (Dec. 22-25). The Classic, hosted by the University of Hawaii, will also feature Auburn, BYU, Hawaii, New Mexico, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma and Washington State, with all games broadcast on the ESPN family of networks. This will mark the team's third appearance at an in-season tournament under Amaker, having won the inaugural Battle 4 Atlantis in 2011 and the 2013 Great Alaska Shootout.

The Crimson will be welcomed back to Cambridge where it will host a four-game home stand, including its first Ivy League contest of the season. The home stand begins on New Year's Eve against Wofford (Dec. 31), and continues against Vermont (Jan. 03), Dartmouth (Jan. 09) and Ryerson (Jan. 12).

Harvard will hit the road once again as it travels to our Nation's Capital to take on Howard (Jan. 16) to close out the non-conference slate. The return meeting with Dartmouth is scheduled for January 23 in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Conference play continues with home games against Cornell (Jan. 29) and Columbia (Jan. 30). A trip to Penn (Feb. 05) and Princeton (Feb. 06) will follow, before Harvard hosts Brown (Feb. 12) and Yale (Feb. 13).

The Crimson will conclude play on the road with a four-game swing to Columbia (Feb. 19), Cornell (Feb. 20), Yale (Feb. 26) and Brown (Feb. 27).

Harvard will wrap up the regular season at home, playing host to Princeton (Mar. 04) and Penn (Mar. 05).

Each of Harvard's home non-conference games, and all Ivy League games not being televised will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
