Men's Water Polo

No. 18 Men's Water Polo Edged by St. Francis Brooklyn, 12-11

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The No. 18 Harvard men's water polo team was edged out by St. Francis Brooklyn, 12-11, in its first of a three-game CWPA Northern Division New York road trip.

Joey Colton netted Harvard's first two goals while Noah Harrison added in another as the Terriers held a 5-3 edge after the first quarter.  

Both teams battled back-and-fourth in the second quarter as St. Francis Brooklyn took a 7-5 lead heading into the half.

Blake Lee led Harvard's second half charge, scoring a hat trick in the third quarter to tie the game at nine all at the end of the third.

St. Francis Brooklyn would have the last say, as it escaped with a 12-11 win. Lee finished with a team-high four goals on the day and added in a pair of assists. Colton finished with three goals and a trio of helpers. Colin Woolway posted another double-digit save effort, collecting 10 saves on the night to go along with three steals.

Harvard fell to 4-6 overall on the year and dropped to 2-2 in CWPA Northern Division play.

The Crimson will take on Fordham and Iona tomorrow to wrap-up its New York road trip.
