NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The No. 18 Harvard men's water polo team swept its final day in New York as part of a three-game road trip with a pair of dominating performances. The Crimson downed Fordham, 11-4, in the opener and went on the dominate Iona, 22-12, to complete the Sunday sweep.
In the opener against Fordham, Harvard's stingy defense held the Rams to a season-low three goals allowed while Noah Harrison propelled Harvard's attack for an 11-3 win. Nick Bunn netted the opening goals for Harvard, while Harrison netted a first half hat-trick as the Crimson raced out to a 6-3 lead. Five different members of the Crimson found the back of the net in the second half while Anthony Ridgley held firm in Harvard's net. The freshman made 11 stops and shut out the Gaels in the final quarter, as Harvard cruised to an 11-4 win in the opener.
The Crimson attack exploded in the nightcap at Iona, pouring on a season-high 22 goals en route to a 22-12 victory. Ben Zepfel and Noah Harrison provided all the offense Harvard would need as each set new single-season career high for goals. Ben Zepfel netted a hat trick in the second and third quarter and finished with eight goals. Harrison snapped the back of the net seven times, while adding in a trio of assists and another three steals.
