CSCAA RELEASE
NORFOLK, Va. – The Harvard women's swimming and diving team has been named a Fall Scholar All-America Team, as announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Wednesday.
To be eligible for the honor, a team must post a GPA during the fall semester of 3.00 or above. The Crimson's team GPA checked in at 3.48, above the NCAA Division I average of 3.336.
In total, a record 638 teams, representing 394 institutions earned the honor during the fall 2016 semester. NCAA Division I women's teams comprised 164 of those teams.
Harvard has two regular season meets remaining before the Ivy League Championship Meet begins Feb. 15. The annual H-Y-P meet will be held Feb. 3-4 in New Haven, Connecticut before Harvard hosts Northeastern at Blodgett Pool Feb. 5.
