BOSTON – Playing in their first game since the Wooden Legacy tournament, the Harvard men's basketball team fell to the Huskies of Northeastern (3-4) by the score of 77-61.

Sophomore Bryce Aiken led the way for Harvard with 26 points, with sophomore Chris Lewis following close behind with 20 points. Sophomore Justin Bassey led the team a career-high 10 rebounds, while Lewis had seven.

Despite a 15-2 run by the Crimson to end the first half, Harvard trailed 41-34 at the break. Harvard cut Northeastern's lead as close as five points, but Northeastern held on through the second period. 

The Crimson finished shooting 41.5% from the field. The team did not allow a fast break point, while scoring six on Northeastern. 

Harvard Highlights

• The Crimson ended the first half on a 15-2 run, to cut the deficit at the time to seven.
• With his team-high 26 points, sophomore Bryce Aiken improved his season average to 19 points per game, which also leads the team. The 26 points is his second-highest total this season.
• Sophomore Chris Lewis eclipsed his season-high with a 20-point performance, and was two shy of his career best.
• Sophomore Justin Bassey finished with a career-high 10 rebounds, leading the way for the Crimson.

Game Notes

• Despite the loss, the Crimson still leads the all-time series 38-16.
• Head Coach Tommy Amaker remains four wins away from 200 at Harvard.
