Men's Volleyball Earns Eighth Consecutive AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. -  As one of 19 programs to be honored, the Harvard men's volleyball team has received the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the eighth-straight year, as announced today, July 22.

The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. A record 973 programs received the award for this past season.

Harvard has now received the award each of the last eight years and 10 times in the last 11. The Crimson is one of two EIVA programs to earn the 2018-19 distinction, joining Saint Francis. Harvard will return 12 letterwinners to the court for the 2019-20 season, including All-EIVA first team honoree Matthew Ctvrtlik.
