Herculano, Milne Compete in Finals at NCAA Zone A Diving Championships

MORGANTOWN, W.V. – Harvard sophomore Morgane Herculano finished seventh in the 1-meter dive at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships held at West Virgnia University's Mylan Park Aquatic Center on Monday.

Herculano was one of two Crimson divers to qualify for the finals, beginning the day posting a, six-dive, prelim score of 255.25. Junior Georgina Milne also earned a spot in the 18-diver finals, tallying a score of 261.60 – good enough for ninth place in the prelims.

Moving onto the finals, Herculano climbed up the leaderboard to seventh-place with a 12-dive score of 532.75. The top five divers in the finals earned automatic berths into the national meet in Athens, Georgia next week. Milne, placed 18th with a total of 474.85.

First-year Evie Geier and sophomore Esther Lawrence also  participated in the 1-meter dive on the day, but did not advance to the finals. Geier posted a score of 235.35, while Lawrence was right behind her scoring 233.35.

Next Up
Herculano, Lawrence, and Milne will participate tomorrow on the 3-meter dive along with first-year Elizabeth Miclau.
