CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard continues ECAC Hockey play this weekend with key home contests against No. 14/15 Cornell and Colgate at Bright-Landry Hockey Center this weekend (Nov. 5-6). Both games will start at 7 p.m., and will air on ESPN+. Harvard began the year with resounding wins at Dartmouth (W, 9-3) and at home against Bentley (W, 7-3) last weekend (Oct. 29-30).

Henry Thrun and sophomore forward
Sean Farrell earned ECAC Hockey weekly awards after pacing Harvard's high-powered attack. Thrun earned ECAC Hockey Player of the Week honors. Thrun had a team-high eight points (goal, seven assists) in two Harvard wins. He had a goal and two assists and was plus-3 against the Big Green. Against Bentley, Thrun became the first Harvard player to record five assists in a game since Tim Pettit '04 did it against Princeton (W, 6-3) on Dec. 6, 2002. Farrell recorded a goal and two assists in his collegiate debut at Dartmouth, then notched two goals and two assists in Harvard's home opener against Bentley.
Harvard finished the weekend 5-for-11(45.5%) on the power play.

• Friday's game marks the 158th game in the historic Harvard-Cornell men's hockey rivalry, with Cornell owning a 79-66-12 mark in the series.
• Harvard and Cornell last met on Jan. 25, 2020, with the Crimson earning a 1-1 tie against then-top ranked Cornell at Lynah Rink. Harvard is seeking its first home win over Cornell since Nov. 5, 2016.

Nick Abruzzese had a historic first season with the Crimson, recording 44 points (14 goals, 30 assists) in 31 games, leading all NCAA first-years in scoring en route to his ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year selection. Abruzzese had the most points by a first-year in the Ted Donato era. Defenseman Jack Rathbone also had an excellent campaign with 31 points in 28 games. Both Rathbone (First Team) and Abruzzese (Second Team) were named AHCA All-Americans. Harvard played the first college hockey games in the state of California since 1999 with the SoCal Clash series (Dec. 28-29, 2019) against Arizona State in Irvine, and also defeated Yale, 7-0, in the Rivalry on Ice contest (Jan. 11, 2020) at Madison Square Garden.

At the Helm
Following success as a player, Harvard head coach Ted Donato has compiled a long list of accomplishments as head coach of the Crimson. The former Harvard captain has guided Harvard to four ECAC Hockey titles and three Ivy League championships, claimed six NCAA Tournament berths, coached 13 All-Americans and 17 National Hockey Leaguers. Donato, who won an NCAA Championship as a Harvard player in 1989 and enjoyed a 13-year NHL career, has represented Team USA at the World Junior Championships, multiple World Championships, and was the leading scorer of the 1992 Olympic Team in Albertville, France.
