What to Know
  • Harvard women's hockey picked up the 700th win in program history last Friday, topping St. Lawrence, 2-0. The Crimson is just the fourth women's team to reach the milestone and is the first in ECAC Hockey to do so. Since first gaining varsity status in 1978-79, Harvard has a record of 700-413-70.
  • The Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Ice Hockey, Katey Stone, enters Tuesday just two wins away from her 500th career victory. She would be the first female coach and the fourth of a women's program to reach the milestone. Just 24 coaches across all NCAA men's and women's programs have hit the milestone with a single team.
  • No. 7/7 Boston College will mark the fourth top-10 opponent Harvard has faced this season. The Crimson has already met Cornell, Colgate and Clarkson, going 1-2-0 in those contests.
  • Goaltender Becky Dutton stopped 24 shots en route to posting the third shutout of her collegiate career, as Harvard beat St. Lawrence, 2-0, on Friday (Nov. 5). It was the first shutout for the Crimson since Feb. 28, 2020, when Lindsay Reed blanked Yale, 4-0.
  • Harvard has been one of the top teams in the country this season in the faceoff circle. The team owns a collective faceoff win percentage of .597, tied for the second highest in Division I. The Crimson has won the faceoff margin in five of its six games this year.
  • Senior Keely Moy picked up another goal over the weekend against Clarkson, giving the forward five on the season. Moy leads the Crimson in both goals (five) and total points (nine).

At the Helm:
Katey Stone, The Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Ice Hockey, is in her 27th year at the helm of the women's hockey program. Prior to the 2021-22 season, Stone compiled a 494-253-54 record. During Summer 2021, Stone was named the recipient of USA Hockey's Distinguished Achievement Award, recognizing a U.S. citizen who has made hockey his or her profession, and has made outstanding contributions, on or off the ice, to the sport in America. No stranger to trailblazing in the sport, Stone was the first woman to be recognized for the award. Through her tenure at Harvard, Stone has coached six Patty Kazmaier Award winners, 24 All America selections, 13 Olympians and 11 NWHL/CWHL Draft picks. Her teams have won 11 Beanpot championships, seven ECAC Tournament titles and have advanced to the NCAA Tournament 11 times.

Up Next:
Harvard is back on the road this weekend when it will visit Yale (Nov. 12) and Brown (Nov. 13) for a pair of ECAC Hockey matchups. Game times are set for 6 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
