Radcliffe Lightweight Rowing's Farrar ’21, Kennedy ’21, To Compete at U.S. Olympic Trials

SARASOTA, Fla. – Radcliffe lightweight rowing seniors, Olivia Farrar and Brigid Kennedy, are set to compete at the first 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Rowing. Farrar will race in the 10-boat lightweight women's double sculls with Cara Stawicki of Lehigh University. Kennedy will race in the 37-boat openweight women's single sculls, the only race next week where a ticket to Tokyo is on the line.
 
Based on her finish at the Trials in Florida, Farrar could earn a spot at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta May 15-17 in Lucerne, Switzerland. With a top finish in Lucerne, the duo can punch its ticket to Tokyo.
 
With entries now closed, more than 119 athletes in 91 boats are scheduled to race in Sarasota during the five-day event scheduled for February 22-26
 
Racing will open with time trials on Monday. Heats will take place on Tuesday, with repechages taking place on Wednesday. Thursday will feature semifinals, with finals taking place on Friday. Racing is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. each day. Due to COVID-19, there will be no spectators allowed on the island at Nathan Benderson Park.
 
Semifinals and finals will be streamed live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.
