SARASOTA, Fla. – This week, Radcliffe lightweight rowing seniors
Olivia Farrar and
Brigid Kennedy competed at the first 2020 Olympic Team Trials – Rowing.
With her partner Cara Stawicki of Lehigh University, Farrar advanced directly to the lightweight women's double sculls semifinals after placing second in her heat on Tuesday. Racing against three other boats in the semifinal on Thursday morning, Farrar and Stawicki missed a spot in Friday's finals by less than three seconds.
On Monday, Kennedy placed 18th of 35 boats in the single scull time trial, just 23 seconds behind the top finisher. The women's single sculls was the only race where a ticket to Tokyo was on the line.
