CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's volleyball head coach
Jennifer Weiss has announced the program's incoming Class of 2025. Joining the Crimson in the fall is a five-member class consisting of:
Rocky Aguirre,
Corinne Furey,
Mayowa Olibale,
Teia Piette and
Lindsey Zhang. The incoming first-years hail from four different states, including California, Delaware, Hawaii and Texas.

Coach Weiss on Rocky: "I am thrilled to have Rocky join the Harvard volleyball family. She has established herself as one of the top setters in the Coast volleyball program , which is one of the top club teams in the state of California. She has a great court presence and knows how to run the offense. Her enthusiastic attitude and competitive nature will be excellent for practices and competitions."
Corinne Furey | Outside Hitter | 6-1 | Wilmington, Del. | Ursuline Academy
Five-year letterwinner and four-year starter at Ursuline … Captain in 2019-20 … Earned All-State honors in 2018-19 … Named to the All-Conference First Team in 2017-18 and 2018-19 … Received AVCA Phenom List honors from 2016-2019 … Named a Prep Volleyball Frosh 59 Highest Honorable Mention in 2016 … Delaware State Champion in 2017-18 and runner-up in 2016-17 … Six-time qualifier for Girls USA Junior National Volleyball Championship … Placed fifth at Nationals in 13-National … Two-year starter for East Coast Power club team … Received the 2020 Ursuline Academy Scholar Athlete Award … Vice President of National Honor Society … AP Scholar with Distinction … AP Capstone Diploma … Received the AP Human Geography Class Award … Sophomore and Freshmen Class President.
Coach Weiss on Corinne: "Corinne has a strong presence in the outside hitting position with a fast arm swing and the ability to move the ball around offensively. She has been a six rotation outside hitter at a top club program and her high school team. She has great vision when competing and always has a positive upbeat attitude. Her work ethic is second to none and I know she has the mentality of "getting better every day". She will be a great teammate and citizen in our Harvard community."
Mayowa Olibale | Middle Blocker | 5-9 | Katy, Texas | Seven Lakes High School
Two-year letterwinner at Seven Lakes … Captain in 2020-21 … Named to the 2020 19-6A First Team All-District … Named to the 2020 GHVCA Preseason Team … Received 2019 19-6A Second Team All-District honors … Named the 2020 All-Vype Public School Middle Blocker of the Year … Lead Seven Lakes and District 19 in blocks, second in region … Played club volleyball for Texas Tornadoes Volleyball.
Coach Weiss on Mayowa: "Mayo has been training in the middle and the right side. She is quick to get off the ground and will bring speed and explosiveness to our offensive system. She has the athletic ability to be one of the top middle attackers for Harvard and will bring a confidence and a willingness to work hard. I am excited for her opportunites at Harvard both on and off the court."
Teia Piette | Libero | 5-5 | Kailua, Hawaii | Le Jardin Academy
Four-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Le Jardin … Division II State Champions in 2017 and runner-up in 2019 with Le Jardin … Received Le Jardin's MVP Award (2019), Most Inspirational Award (2018) and Grit Award (2017) … Four-year starter for Spike and Serve Hawaii Volleyball Club from 2018-2021 … 2019 USAV Junior National Champions with Spike and Serve Hawaii … 2020 Aloha Region Power League Champions … National Honor Society … French Honor Society … Member of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program … Leader of the environmental advocacy club … Completed multiple service trips to New Zealand and Peru … Coached youth volleyball … Middle school tutor … Received the 2020 Goal Sixteen Write the Future contest prize.
Coach Weiss on Teia: "Teia has developed into a strong defensive player and will bring great technique and training to our team. She has worked hard on her game and has the potential and work ethic that will be welcomed in our gym."
Lindsey Zhang | Defensive Specialist/Libero | 5-6 | Plano, Texas | Plano West Senior High School

Coach Weiss on Lindsey: "Lindsey is a libero and has experience that will be an impact for our defense system upon arrival. She has the ability to read the game and run the back court for our team. She will be a playmaker and will continue to grow in her overall game. She is consistently working on perfecting her ball control and serve receive. I am excited to have her in the gym and I know she will thrive at Harvard on and off the court."
