CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Hockey Ireland announced that sophomore
Siofra Murdoch is among 25 players initially selected to compete at the Women's Junior World Cup in South Africa (Dec. 5-16).
Murdoch has previously competed with the Under-21 Irish squad this past summer and in previous years. This marks the first year that the Irish Under-21 team will play in the Women's FIH Junior World Cup.
This past summer, the Murdoch was part of an extensive development program with Hockey Ireland, as the Under-21 team earned series wins over the Wales senior squad and a Great Britain elite development team.
If Murdoch is selected to the final squad, she will join other members of the Under-21 squad that are currently training with the senior international team after the conclusion of Harvard's season.
