Field Hockey Reveals 2026 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard field hockey, fresh off the eighth Ivy League championship in school history and a trip to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals in 2025, is almost ready to return to the pitch as the Crimson reveal the 2026 schedule.

Harvard is set to test itself against the nation's best again next fall, as the Crimson's 2026 regular season schedule features five opponents that competed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Crimson fans will also have ample opportunities to catch Harvard field hockey at home this season, as Harvard will compete in 11 home contests at Berylson Field this year.

The 2026 campaign kicks off with four straight matches in Cambridge, with three of them coming against intrastate opponents. The season opener takes place on Friday, Sept. 4, as the Crimson welcome UMass Lowell for a 4 p.m. showdown. Opening weekend concludes on Sunday, Sept. 6, as the Crimson will face off against BIG EAST rival UConn for a 1 p.m. push back at Berylson Field. Last season saw Harvard defeat the Huskies twice, once in the regular season and then in the 2025 NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals.

Harvard's homestand continues on Friday, Sept. 11, as the Crimson will take on UMass at 3:30 p.m. For the first time since 2019, Harvard and Boston College will meet on the field hockey pitch on Sunday, Sept. 13, as the Crimson welcome the Eagles for a 1 p.m. match.

Ivy League action begins for Harvard on the road on Friday, Sept. 18, as the Crimson head north to Hanover, New Hampshire for a meeting with Dartmouth, as a start time is to be determined. The weekend ends with another home contest against a Massachusetts rival, as the Crimson host Northeastern at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20.

One of the most exciting and storied rivalries in the Ivy League adds a new chapter on Saturday, Sept. 26, as the Crimson and Princeton will meet again at noon in Cambridge. Last season saw Harvard and Princeton face off on three different occasions.

A trip to the Keystone State arrives for the Crimson on Friday, Oct. 2, as Harvard and Penn will square off in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 2 p.m. The Crimson then return to Cambridge for its second meeting against an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent of the 2026 season, as Harvard and Wake Forest will meet for the first time since 2024 at noon.

Foes from Upstate New York will highlight a pair of matches on Friday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 11. Harvard battles Cornell at home with a 4 p.m. pushback on Friday, Oct. 9, as the Crimson will then turn around and make the journey to the Salt City on Sunday, Oct. 11 for a 1 p.m. showdown at Syracuse.

Ancient Eight action returns on Saturday, Oct. 17, as the Crimson head to Providence, Rhode Island for a noon contest against Brown. The Crimson conclude the weekend with a 1 p.m. home meeting against neighbor Boston University on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Harvard competes in its last road match of the 2026 regular season on Friday, Oct. 23, as the Crimson head to the Big Apple to face Columbia. A start time between the Crimson and Lions is to be determined. On Sunday, Oct. 25, the Crimson face off against Monmouth for a second consecutive season, with pushback scheduled for noon.

On Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m., Harvard ends the 2026 regular season at home against Yale. The 2026 Ivy League Tournament takes place from Friday, Nov. 6 to Sunday, Nov. 8, as the 2026 NCAA Tournament will begin on Friday, Nov. 13.
