CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore goalkeeper
Sofia Castore was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week after making her debut in net this past weekend for the Crimson.
Castore, a native of Houston, Texas, led the Crimson to a 2-0 record in season opening contests against Maine and Providence. She recorded two saves in a 2-1, overtime win at Maine last Friday, and notched her first career shutout on Sunday (Sept. 5), making three saves in a 3-0 win over Providence.
Harvard will hit the road again this upcoming weekend with a game at No. 19 Delaware on Friday (Sept. 10) followed by a game at Monmouth on Sunday (Sept. 12).
