No. 2 Men’s Squash Travels to No. 3 Trinity Friday, Hosts No. 4 Yale Sunday

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 2 Harvard (10-1, 5-1 Ivy) meets a pair of top-five foes this weekend as the Crimson is scheduled to face both No. 3 Trinity (9-1) and No. 4 Yale (7-1, 4-1 Ivy). 
 
Harvard will first hit the road to take on the Bantams on Friday (Jan. 28) at 5 p.m. before heading home to battle the Bulldogs on Sunday (Jan. 30) at 1 p.m. 
 
Spectators will not be permitted at Trinity on Friday. Fans will be allowed to attend Sunday's home match vs. Yale, provided proof of vaccination is shown for those 12 and older. Masks must be worn at all times. (Updated Spectator Attendance Policy)

What to Know:  

  • Harvard, Trinity and Yale all have just one loss this season, with the lone blemish on each team's record coming against Penn. Harvard fell to the Quakers, 3-6, while Trinity and Yale each lost by a score of 2-7. 
  • Among the Crimson to appear in more than three matches, Samuel Scherl (10-0) and George Crowne (8-0) are the lone unbeaten players. 
  • Harvard has not lost a match at the No. 3 or No. 4 positions this season. 
  • Harvard comes in at No. 2 in the latest edition of the 2021-2022 Men's College Squash Team Rankings posted Jan. 27. 
  • The Crimson has won the last two CSA National Championships.  
  • This season, the Crimson has outscored its opponents 85-14 overall including seven 9-0 sweeps. 
  • Harvard is 39-29 vs. Trinity all-time and has won the last three meetings.  
  • The Crimson leads Yale 78-21 in the all-time series and has won five straight against the Bulldogs.

Mike Way begins his 12th season as the Gregory Lee '87 and Russell Ball '88 Endowed Coach for Squash at Harvard University. Way boasts an overall record of 145-30 during his time at Harvard. 
 

Up Next: 

Harvard takes on Williams in its final match of the 2021-22 regular season on Tuesday (Feb. 1) at the Murr Center Squash Courts. Play will begin at 5 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+ and Stretch Internet.
