CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's swimming and diving makes its second Blodgett Pool appearance of the season on Friday afternoon when it welcomes Columbia (1-1; 1-1 Ivy League). The Ivy meet is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN+.
What to Know
- Harvard is coming off a week in which it defeated Brown on the road, 186-113, before heading to Hanover, New Hampshire, where it swept Dartmouth and Cornell. The Crimson claimed a 215-83 victory against the Big Green and earned a 179-121 decision over the Big Red.
- Harvard's three victories in less than 24 hours improved its record to 4-0 overall and 3-0 against Ivy competition.
- Last Friday against the Bears, the Crimson won 12 events, with first-year Anya Mostek capturing four events (100 back, 200 back, 200 IM, 200 medley relay). The Harvard trio of Nina Janmyr, Elizabeth Miclau and Amy Wotovich, meanwhile, took the top three spots in both diving events, with Janmyr taking first on the 1-meter board (295.65) and Miclau finishing atop the 3-meter leaderboard (296.85).
- In the double-dual meet at Dartmouth with Cornell, Harvard totaled nine event victories, which included two more wins from Mostek (100 breast, 200 breast). Mostek also swam the first leg of the 200 free relay, teaming with Darlene Fung, Samantha Shelton and Molly Hamlin to set a Dartmouth pool record (1:33.60). Remi Edvalson took first place in one-meter diving (278.40).
- The Crimson enter this week's action with a 35-1 all-time series advantage over Columbia. Harvard has taken seven straight decisions against the Lions.
