Cambridge, Mass. - The Harvard men's cross-country team and women's individual qualifier Maia Ramsden raced at the NCAA Championship Meet on Saturday, Nov. 19 in Stillwater, Okla. The men's team placed 17th. Ramsden and Graham Blanks earned First-Team All-American Status for their top-15 finishes, placing 11th and sixth, respectively.
Ramsden started the day in the women's 6k, running with the leaders from the start of the race. She began to pull away during the final third of the race to earn an 11th place finish in 19:52.3. This finish set a cross country 6k personal best and was 99 spots higher than her finish in 2021, earning Ramsden first-team All-American status.
After winning the Northeast Championship Meet, Graham Blanks lead the team in the men's 10k at the NCAA Championship meet, placing sixth in 28:58.4. This was a new personal best in a cross country 10k for Blanks and earned first-team All-American status. Acer Iverson was next for the Crimson in 50th, with a time of 29:46.1. To round out the five scoring places, Joe Ewing finished in 152nd (30:37.3), Shane Brosnan finished in 156th (30:39.0) and Vivien Henz finished in 190th (30:57.1). David Melville and Ben Rosa were the team's final two runners. The team scored 474 points to take 17th. This 17th place finish was six spots higher than the ranking of 23rd they held going into the meet. Harvard also finished the season as the top Ivy League program at the Championship meet.
