Walker Captures Another Win with Ease at the ITA Fall Nationals

SAN DIEGO, CA – No. 39 Harris Walker has moved on to the Semifinals of the singles consolation bracket at the ITA Fall Nationals after defeating No. 43 Ryan Seggerman (UNC).

In a top 50 battle, Walker showed why he has to upper hand in the preseason rankings, taking down Seggerman with relative ease, 6-3, 6-2.  Walker pulled ahead early in the first set (3-0).
Seggerman battled back in the first set, but Walker was able to hold him back with monster serves and well-placed returns. Walker continued his success in the second set, not letting up for a second to ultimately defeat the 43rd ranked Seggarman.  Play will continue in the consolation bracket tomorrow with two semifinals matches.  Walker will compete in a rematch of the ITA Northeast Super Regionals finals match as he takes on No. 3 (Freshman/Newcomer) Michael Zheng (Columbia) at 10:00 a.m. (PST)/1:00 p.m. (EST).
