DALLAS, TX – The Crimson began play at the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge today and defeated every opponent they faced in both singles and doubles.
In singles
Alan Yim faced off against Louis Cloud (SMU). After dropping the first set 6-7 (7), Yim was able to win the second two with ease (6-2, 6-2) to take the match.
Ronan Jachuck dominated Ethan Muza (Baylor), defeating him in straight sets (6-2, 6-1). Lastly for singles,
Steven Sun also defeated Simon Arca Costas (Boise State) in straight sets. Despite a close first set (7-6 (5)), Sun took care of business in the second set (6-3) to secure the third victory for the Crimson.
In doubles Jachuck and Sun teamed up twice on the day. First the duo defeated Steinhausen/Winkler (SMU), 6-3 and then took down Miladinovic/Frantzen (Baylor), 6-4.
The Crimson will continue play tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m. (CST)/11:00 a.m. (EST).
