Men’s Squash Faces Tough Battle Against UVA to Close Out Semester

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 1 Harvard Men's Squash (4-0, 2-0 Ivy) returns home to face its highest ranked opponent of the season thus far in No. 5 University of Virginia (2-1, 1-0 MASC).  The match will also serve as the men's featured event with free El Jefe's burritos for Harvard undergrads that come show support. 

What to know

  • Harvard has started strong so far this season and backed up their No. 1 ranking by winning four straight.  In the four wins, the Crimson have swept all their opponents and only dropped three games.
  • Tate Harms continues to dominate at the No. 4, 5, and 6 positions, outscoring his opponents 132-17.  He has led all Crimson players in the least amount of points dropped in every match this season. 
  • Ishant Shah has clinched the match win for the Crimson in three out of their four matches this season.
  • The Crimson currently lead the series against UVA, having won all three matches between the two teams.

Next up

Following over a month break, the Crimson will return to action on Friday January 13 at 5:00 p.m. when they travel to the Brady Squash Center to take on Ivy opponent, Yale.
