PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Harvard men's volleyball team (6-8, 4-2) ended the weekend series at No. 9 Grand Canyon (11-8, 3-3 MPSF) with a 3-0 loss.
The Crimson was within striking distance but was unable to get over the edge for a final result of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-22.
Kade McGovern led the way for the Crimson offense, posting double-digit kills for the fifth time this season with 10. The first-year added seven digs and a service ace.
Senior captain
Buddy Scott led the team in assists with 13 across his two sets played, while adding two digs and a block.
Eric Li tallied six kills and five digs, while
Campbell Schoenfeld recorded five kills and four digs.
James Bardin pitched in 10 assists, three kills and a dig.
Logan Shepherd had two kills, while
Ryan Hong (three digs),
Ethan Smith and
Ethan McCrary all had one.
Jason Shen stayed solid for the Crimson defense, posting 11 digs and reaching double-digits for the seventh time in the 2022 campaign.
Trevor Schultz saw his first action at Harvard. The first-year had two kills on a .667 hitting percentage in his debut.
